Responsibilities

• Handle tax filings in an organized, secure manner to ensure each client's privacy is protected

  • 
    
  • Analyze each client's financial records, including their income statements and previous tax returns to calculate the amount of taxable income each client possesses
    
  • Review each tax form to make sure everything is accurate and ensure tax compliance
    
  • Possesses a knowledge/understanding of the client, especially as related to tax matters
    
  • Researches technical tax matters and documents such as research in the client's work papers
    
  • Prepares complex income tax returns, including consolidated and multi-state tax returns
    
  • Coordinates the scheduling of tax journal entries with the client and assists in making such journal entries in the client's Quickbooks files or another accounting system
    
  • Monitors the budget on tax engagements and alerts their supervisor of potential concerns about possible fee modification actions
    
  • Follows proper firm protocol on all engagements
    
  • Demonstrates effective project management skills inspires teamwork and responsibility with engaging team members and uses current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service
    
  • Prepares invoices and details of fees to clients

    Qualifications
    
    
    • 
      
    • Can use standard tax software to make the filing process efficient
      
    • 5+ years of work experience in tax consulting at an accounting firm or consulting firm
      
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
      
    • 4-year degree in accounting or finance
      
      
      Compensation
      $55,000 - $58,000 yearly

      Richard has over 20 years of experience in accounting and tax services, business consulting, mergers, and acquisitions. He began the practice in 2003, which has grown primarily through the referrals of clients who have been pleased with the reliable service and expertise of the firm and its associates.
      Community and family are important to Richard. He serves on the board of several companies. Last year, the company sponsored Outreach Ministries, Florence Crittenton, and Hospice through the Alan Fleming Tennis Tournament on Seabrook Island.
