Job Description Job Description Description: Purpose: The Onsite
Mixer Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of
an onsite concrete mixer used exclusively to deliver concrete
within company property to the precast production facility. This
position does not require CDL and does not involve public road
driving. The Onsite Mixer Driver plays a critical role in
supporting daily precast production by ensuring timely, accurate,
and safe delivery of concrete while maintaining equipment and yard
cleanliness. In addition to the operation of a concrete mixer
truck, a delivery professional is expected to be an active member
of their plant/area and work in conjunction with plant operations
to attain plants’ production level goals. Essential
Responsibilities: Perform all job duties in accordance with company
safety and environmental policies and procedures without exception.
Contribute to a positive team-oriented culture while upholding the
company’s values. Cooperates and promotes a team concept between
all Knights employees. Actively participates in all Safety
meetings. Maintain personal appearance in a neat and clean manner,
including upkeep of assigned truck. Check loads to ensure the
product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust
to the desired level. Safely maneuver equipment within the yard and
plant property Monitor concrete consistency and communicate any
issues with mix quality to the production management. Verify
delivery points with plant personnel before leaving the plant to
ensure delivery to the correct onsite location. Keep equipment in
acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning
materials and supplies. Conduct routine preventative maintenance to
include greasing of Rollers, chutes, chain drives for front
discharge mixers, and topping off fluids as required. Maintain
radio contact with Plant Personnel/ Dispatch center to receive and
transmit delivery instructions. Properly tracks and documents
activity logs, delivery tickets, and other paperwork as required.
Assist other company employees as needed. Complete pre- and
post-trip inspections on truck equipment. Perform minor autonomous
maintenance, such as installing light bulbs, mirrors, etc. Must be
able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors
and management. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must
possess a valid Driver’s license. Must be at least 18 years of age
for operations in South Carolina. (1) years of experience with
heavy equipment handling. Ability to read, write, and communicate
effectively in English. Bilingual skills are a plus. Basic math
proficiency, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and
divide two-digit numbers accurately. Physical Requirements: Must be
able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist height and
over short distances (approximately 5 feet). Ability to push and
pull up to 50 lbs. across distances of up to 10 feet. Ability to
lift to 20 lbs. from waist to shoulder height. Frequent use of
hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and equipment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform continuous
physical activity throughout the workday. Ability to bend, twist,
kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb as required to complete
assigned tasks. Position requires regular walking, sitting,
lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing during daily operations.
Must be able to exert up to 100 lbs. of force frequently while
handling materials or operating equipment. Ability to safely climb
stairs and ladders and perform work at various heights. Must be
able to push, pull, turn, and operate controls safely and
effectively. Ability to work primarily outdoors in varying weather
conditions, including exposure to extreme heat or cold.
