Description Parking Ambassador – Folly Beach Pay: $21.00 per hour Seasonal Position from (April 1st-October 1st). Weekend days required. $500 SIGN-ON BONUS Position Summary Make a Difference. We’re seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about delivering top-notch service to residents, businesses, and visitors of the Isle of Palms. As a Parking Ambassador, you’ll play a vital role in promoting local businesses, ensuring public safety, and enhancing the quality of life in our beautiful city. Duties and Responsibilities: Use technology to monitor compliance with city parking ordinances and enforce parking regulations at meters on city streets. Practice active listening techniques and excellent customer service skills when engaging with visitors, residents, co-workers, and managers. Demonstrate knowledge of parking rules and regulations when addressing guest questions and concerns. Guide visitors and residents in the selection of parking options by demonstrating knowledge of street, lot, and garage locations and rates. Assist with and educate customers on the operation of each type of parking meter and mobile payment options. Exhibit familiarity with local events, businesses, and amenities, and be able to provide general directions. Promote public and resident safety by maintaining awareness of physical hazards and suspicious activity. Research field guides to ensure the correct performance of enforcement tasks. Provide competent court testimony for contested citations. Safely operate and maintain the company vehicle. Use email as a daily communication tool. Organize equipment and supplies. Qualifications Qualifications Outstanding communication skills Excellent customer service skills Capable of using current technology Knowledgeable in Google applications, such as Gmail and Google Calendar Able to interpret and apply City of Isle of Palms parking ordinances Exceptional degree of professionalism Fundamental knowledge of area roads, events, and amenities Clean driving record Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time Able to work in all weather conditions Flexible with scheduling Must be able to work hours in excess of regularly scheduled hours
