DescriptionCore4ce is looking for a Virtualization Engineer to focus on enterprise desktop and application virtualization for a government client. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in Citrix administration and be capable of both iteratively engineering/architecting solutions that would consider and incorporate on-prem, hybrid, and cloud requirements. The position requires someone that is familiar with platforms and tools used in conjunction with Citrix, such as Windows Server, Active Directory, databases, and VMWare enterprise software.If you have substantive virtualization, server, networking, storage, and cloud experience necessary to architect and implement enterprise solutions, then we want to talk to you.
RequirementsTechnical Skills

• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (alternatively referred to as XenApp/XenDesktop). Citrix engineering expertise is highly valued for this position, which supports the administration of a Citrix-based virtualization environment
• Windows Server administration experience, specifically with the Windows Server 2012/2016 operating systems, and experience with or willingness to develop expertise in Windows Server 2019. Linux OS knowledge is a plus but not required
• Windows administration tools and functions including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, Sites and Services, etc.
• Familiarity with thin client technologies, including products from vendors Dell and IGEL
• Experience with hypervisor management, to include HP ProLiant and/or Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)
• Familiarity with database clustering, specifically using Microsoft SQL. This is a relevant but ancillary skill set to the primary task, which is Citrix-centered with a SQL back end.
• Experience with the implementation of VMware enterprise products including ESXi/vSphere, Horizon View, vCenter, vRealize Orchestrator
• Knowledge of and experience with cloud computing technologies and systems, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, desired but not required
• Ability to automate processes through the use of scripting (using PowerShell/PowerCLI or other scripting languages)
• Familiarity with government security requirements (Nessus vulnerability management, DISA STIG compliance, Risk Management Framework accreditation) a plus
  Non-Technical Skills
  • Ability to detect, identify and resolve complex technical challenges and communicate resolutions in a clear, concise manner.
  • Work well in a team environment and be willing both to learn from and train coworkers on specific skills and technologies
  • Ability to work closely with engineers focusing on other technologies (database administrators, storage engineers, etc.) to troubleshoot technical issue
    Education / Experience / Certificates
    • 8 plus years of industry experience in IT administration, including hands on experience with virtualization technologies
    • BS degree in Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science
    • Relevant Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and other industry certifications preferred - CCA-V, CCP-V, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS, VCP 5.5+, CISSP are all considered highly valuable
    • Must possess a Security+ certification (required for government 8570 compliance)
