FLSA: HourlyJob Summary: Answer trouble calls in assigned area.
These calls involve all trade areas, including, but not limited to,
electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, tile, signs,
hardware , etc. Examples of specific tasks are repairing or
replacing plumbing fixtures, flush valves, and hot and cold water
systems.Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $34,332.00 - $48,928.50
- $63,525.00 (min - mid - max)Job Duties:
- 35% - Answer trouble calls in assigned area. These calls
involve all trade areas, including, but not limited to, electrical,
plumbing, minor carpentry and hardware, etc. Examples of specific
tasks are repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures, flush valves,
and hot and cold water systems. Installing and making minor repairs
on small appliances; replacing light tubes, ballasts, fixtures,
outlets, and electrical systems; repairing floor tile, cove base,
hanging pictures, moving furniture and equipment; replacing ceiling
tiles, door stops; etc. - (Essential)
- 35% - Perform preventive maintenance work orders on various
equipment like exhaust fans, vacuum pumps, water fountains, motors,
heat exchanges, air-compressors, etc. - (Essential)
- 20% - Complete alteration and corrective maintenance work
orders. - (Essential)
- 10% - Make inspections and correct inspection deficiencies. -
(Essential)Preferred Experience & Additional Skills: Must have the
ability to work different fields of maintenance (carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, etc.) and to diagnose equipment problems and
find solutions.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high
school diploma and three years trade experience that is directly
related to the area of employment. Some positions require a
commercial driver's license. Some positions require EPA-approved
freon recovery certification.Physical Requirements: Ability to
perform job functions in an upright position. (Continuous) Ability

discriminate between colors. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision
capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with
correction. (Continuous) Ability to operate winches, come-alongs,
jacks, etc. (Continuous) Possess maintain dexterity in order to use
hand tools, both manual and powered. (Continuous) Ability to
qualify physically for respirator use. (Continuous)
