Job Order Number WV8456332 Post Date 01/18/2023 Job Location Charleston,West Virginia25396-0001 County Kanawha Job Summary Description Network Operations Manager - Centralized Engineering JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND DUTIES: The Network Operations Manager - Centralized Engineering will report to the Director of Network Engineering. This position will be responsible for managing the Central Office Equipment Installation team in CT, WV OH, and PA. Responsibilities will include oversight of all capital projects for Metro-E, FTTH, HBE FCC, and BAU reportable metrics. Will need to be familiar with all new and existing product deployments in the field. Focus on FTTH and HBE network builds and installation timelines is a must for this position. This job will be based in the Northeast. General Duties. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: FTTH and HBE implementation of build plans meeting or exceeding committed due dates. Metro-E. FTTC Fiber to the Cell commitments and complete E2E Towers on scheduled months. Operate within the CAPEX to OPEX budget. Drive Capital to Expense project activity to meet the Target of 3%. Manage a team of supervisors and specialist Review and update the Network Installation Quality Standards yearly (IP72202) if needed. Hire and train employees based on needed skills and competencies. Responsible to Track and complete the installations of Next Gen BER and BNG projects Remove all roadblocks and escalate to Director when needed. End of Job compliance within 30 days of installation projects being completed. Successful completion of scanning requirements at end of projects. Employee Safety Awareness Hold a meeting with Director to discuss all Network internal and external issues Have the ability to clearly explain the cause of any situation to others and can review and or create a Root Cause Analysis when required. Management Skills Required: Excellent organizational skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and customer relations will be utilized in achieving desired results and are critical to the position. Possess excellent Interdepartmental / Interpersonal communication skills to collaborate and work with many Frontier organizations (ISP Engineering, OSP Engineering, Local Area Management, OPCEN, and Project Management) Management Skills Preferred: Previous experience managing a diverse group (both technical and geographically). Commitment-oriented, the Ability to sum up a problem and come to a quick resolution is a must. Education Desire high school diploma, GED, College Degree is a Plus or 5 years equivalent experience.
