Submit your application today for our Director of Infection Prevention position and find out what it truly means to be a part of a team.-- -- --The Director of Infection Prevention develops and implements all aspects of the infection control plan using evidenced based guidelines (Example:-- CDC, TJC, WHO AORN,SHEA, IDSA &-- OSHA).-- Supports directors and managers in the health system with compliance to regulatory and accrediting standards related to infection control practices.-- Provides resources and guidance in achieving infection control goals and meeting all CMS/TJC regulations for Infection Control.-- Leads teams in epidemiological studies, failure mode and effect analysis, and performance improvement projects related to infection control.-- Must use knowledge of both microbiology and nursing practices to support proper management of infectious organisms and surveillance systems.-- Strong written and communication skills. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.Qualifications Position Requirements:--I.------Educational and Certification Requirementsa.------------ Baccalaureate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field.b.------------ Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (i.e.: CIC-- preferred) --II.------Experience:-- a.------------ MUST have a minimum of 2 years acute care experience in Infection Prevention and Control (inclusive of surveillance); b.------------ Knowledge of data collection, trending, analysis, and presentation; knowledge of infection control methodology and epidemiology.-- c.-------------- Supervisory/management experience required, Director level preferred.-- --III.------Special qualifications:-- a.------------ Highly desired experience in use of electronic HAI surveillance software (Theradoc or other similar program)b.------------ Must maintain membership in Association for Professional in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)c.-------------- Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of healthcare personnel, both internal and externald.------------ Must be able to envision and implement effective strategies for the cost-effective prevention of transmissible infections Computer literacy - able to work with Microsoft Office to include but not limited to WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint without supervision e.------------ Knowledge of data collection, trending, analysis, and presentation; knowledge of infection control methodology and epidemiology.-- f.---------------- Must provide guidance and oversight in the Health System's practices for sterilization, sanitation and disinfection.g.------------ Comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization h.------------ Principles of effective teaching and learningi.---------------- Health care demonstration practicesj.---------------- Computer systems and applicationsk.-------------- Government and reimbursement regulations and requirements[LR-C1]-- l.---------------- Skill in planning organizing, delegating and supervisingm.-------- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise Notice Our Company's recruiters are here to help unlock the next possibility within your career and we take your candidate experience very seriously.
