degree Full Job Description The Executive Director of Operations
reports directly to the MUSC Health Chief Operating Officer and in
conjunction with other facilities, is responsible and accountable
for direct oversight, planning, and coordination of Health System
operations, direct oversight of MUSC's Occupational Health and
Student Health service lines, and other duties as assigned. This
includes major projects, operational improvement initiatives, and
collaborating with other executive and regional leaders to enhance
the financial and quality goals of the organization. Position
serves as the primary liaison between executive leadership and the
regional facility/operational/clinical leaders. Minimum Training
and Education: Master's Degree and ten (10) years of operational
management work experience in ambulatory and inpatient
environments, five (5) years of which as a direct supervisor or
team leader. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Extensive
knowledge and experience working with physician leaders and
ambulatory operations to improve patient scheduling, access,
throughput, and provider utilization. Has demonstrated how to
develop business principles and metrics to drive improvement. -
Extensive knowledge of EPIC ambulatory and online applications. -
Knowledge and understanding of strategic and business planning
concepts, practices, and forecasting. - Demonstrated knowledge of
advanced financial modeling and forecasting such as Pro Forma and
budget development. - Ability to negotiate with external vendors
and bring contracts to execution. - Understands supply chain and
procurement methodology to monitor cash flow. - Ability to
effectively communicate to diverse groups in a variety of mediums
(written, oral, presentation). - Advanced interpersonal skills to
lead and experience working collaboratively and effectively with
multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams, and with executives,
providers, and staff at all levels. - Must be able to manage
politically sensitive situations. - *Must be able to work in a
fast-paced environment and take appropriate autonomous action. -
