Senior Contamination Site Manager (Mid-Senior Level) ERM (Environmental Resource Management) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Contaminated Site Management technical team in Charleston, West Virginia . In this role, you will provide project management and senior technical assistance on site investigation, remediation, Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs) and environmental construction projects for local and regional sites. As a senior manager, you will contribute your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERM's business and client base, while networking with ERM's global Contaminated Site Management and ESA technical team and technology experts to share best practices across the industry.   • Manage and provide technical expertise on site investigation and remediation projects for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the chemical, oil and gas, power, transportation, and other manufacturing sectors.
  • Manage, direct and delivery Phase I ESAs for a wide range of client facilities and portfolios across multiple industries and geographies.
  • Design and negotiate remedial solutions for contaminated soil and ground water, using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.
  • Oversee multiple projects within client's scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables across ERM's Contaminated Site Management service line [e.g., Voluntary Remediation Programs, Brownfields redevelopment, site investigation and remediation, sustainable sediments, risk assessment, environmental construction management, site closure and decommissioning].
  • Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Coordinate and engage with ERM subject matter experts across North America and across the globe to delivery high quality solutions to our clients.
  • Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. -
  • Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the Contaminated Site Management services.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees. REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or closely related discipline.
    • 10+ years consulting experience working with significant industrial clients on complex site investigation/remediation projects under a variety of state, federal, and international regulatory structures (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA and WV Voluntary Remediation Program, etc.). -
    • An understanding of environmental data management using EQuIS is a plus.
    • Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and "people" skills.
    • Advanced knowledge of the local regulatory climate, with proven negotiation skills with state and local regulators.
    • Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the local marketplace.
    • ERM's local office is virtual, must have ability to work from home and be a commutable distance to the Charleston, WV area for client sites in this region.
