A Commercial Lines Account Manager assists in the support and production of new commercial lines accounts and the retention of existing accounts. In addition to providing exceptional customer service, additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Secure and submit required renewal underwriting information.
• Make customer requested changes or cancellations and process related change requests and confirmations.
• Remarket and/or rewrite accounts to support client retention.
• Round accounts by soliciting increases and expansions of coverage.
• Quote and propose expansion business.
• Process Certificates of Insurance.
• Receive claims information and report claims to companies.
• Make claims follow up with customers.

Requirements:
  
  • Preferred five years of practical experience in similar position at an independent agency with underwriting and rating background; must have previous commercial Property & Casualty experience
  • Requires an ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Must embrace a client-focused, team mentality
  • Must be proficient in MS Office tools and insurance management systems
  • Previous working knowledge of Applied Epic or similar insurance account management software is preferred Education/Licensing
    • High School diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree is preferred; additional insurance designations (CIC, CISR, etc.) are preferred
    • Must have an active South Carolina P&C license PI185879418
