*Primary Purpose of the Position*

The Plant Manager play an integral role in the organization. They are responsible for safe, quality, on-time productions at or above budgeted margins. They maintain a culture of high performance through effective communication, coordination, pride, delegation of responsibility, accountability, and discipline.

*Essential Functions / Duties*

The Plant Manager is continuously aware of all aspects of the jobs in accordance with engineering drawings, expected POC scheduling, costs, and delivery dates. The Plant Manager assigns and monitor production personnel
(material handling, crane operators, burning, fitting, welding and coating) to ensure safety, to optimize productivity and to meet job schedules and estimates. More specific functions include:

* Leadership - Ensure and motivate employees to work together to deliver expected results.
* Labor management - Hire, train, direct and collaborate on individual performance that yield expected results.
* Plant readiness - Maintain facilities, machinery, and equipment to deliver optimum performance within the boundaries of available capital.
* Process synchronization - Coordinate all plant activities and their sequence into smooth production flows with high machine and labor utilizations and minimum waste.
* Capital improvement - Identify, analyze, and propose investments that promise fast returns through lower costs and/or productivity gains.
* Job tracking - Daily monitoring and monthly reporting of POC and actuals vs scheduled costs on all jobs.
* Tweaking - Daily adjustments in machine and labor allocation plans to respond to unforeseen circumstances.
* Regulatory compliance - Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met
* Trouble shooting - Serve as the first point of contact for unexpected occurrences that require escalated leadership intervention.
* Reputation - Become an admired personality and a brand ambassador with employees, customers, suppliers, and all other outsiders.
* Safety-Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety regulations

*Requirements and Qualifications*

* Minimum four-year bachelors' degree in manufacturing, industrial management or business
* Minimum 5 years plant manager, supervisor, or related position
* Minimum 15 years fabrication experience, specifically in an AISC-associated industry.
* Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
* Demonstrated expertise in running heavy machine and fabrication shops
* Solid track record of labor management and productivity improvement.
* Solid reputation in our industry - with customers in our markets strongly preferred.
* Strong management skills with the ability to supervisor multiple teams
* Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
* Excellent leadership, team building and management skills
* Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures
* Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities
* Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds
* Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

*Working Conditions*

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl, and smell. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

*Physical Requirements*

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl, and smell. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,087.00 - $160,000.00 per year
