  • Reporting to the Chief of Practice Operations for the Regional Health Network and ICCE Operations Director for Children's and Women's Health, the chosen candidate will partner with the Medical Director for Community Nurseries and Pediatrics leadership team to develop strategic goals and objectives and operational activities to achieve planned goals
  • Lead the development of strategic initiatives for program growth, and clinical operations,
  • Conduct needs assessment and analysis to determine prioritization and impact of strategic and operational initiatives including provider needs and recruitment
  • Track the progress of strategic plan and process implementation, reporting and providing insight regularly to MUSC leadership
  • Develop and present pro formas and strategic plan to appropriate committee(s) for approval, assessment and implementation
  • Identify and establish relationships with facility leaders and key stakeholders in existing and future partner facilities
  • Develop and prepare annual budgets and direct internal and external resources to operate within budget
  • Developing strong ties between outlying facilities and Charleston's level III and IV nursery leadership, and ongoing relationship management to include MUSC owned, MUSC affiliated, and non-MUSC owned or affiliate hospitals.
  • Lead the expansion of tele-neonatology support for outlying level II nurseries throughout the MUSC network and affiliates
  • Establish and co-lead with the community nurseries medical director oversight meetings (including key stakeholders) to report on KPIs and action plans
  • Develop, supervise and/or coordinate preparation, maintenance and execution of all performance reporting, analyses, action plans on the performance of KPIs under all pillars.
    Additional Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be an experienced executive skilled in developing and delivering on operational strategies in a change-oriented environment. An advanced degree, or commensurate experience in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or similar field is required5 years of leadership experience within a health system or leadership experience in healthcare operations, strategic planning or contract management is preferred. In addition, candidates should bring many of the following qualities and characteristics:

    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to make independent decisions affecting a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of an organization
    • Documented history of establishing working relationships with C-level executives
    • Experience working cross-functionally and promoting collaboration across an organization
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative nature, and the ability to build trust and interact effectively with a wide range of individuals across a variety of situations
    • Skilled in navigating a decentralized organization with multiple locations and staff
    • Proven business acumen and financial stewardship skills coupled with ability to think creatively and strategically about the sustainable use of resources in a complex clinical setting, especially with hospital-based services.
