apply.The RoleThe Director, Talent Acquisition is a central part of
the Human Capital Team at Meeting Street Schools (MSS). Reporting
to the Chief Operations Officer, you will lead talent strategy,
with a focus on recruitment and hiring for our network of schools -
work that is critical to our success as an organization. You will
work closely with senior leadership and external partners to design
strategic talent systems and processes that attract, engage,
select, and retain high-quality teachers, leaders, and campus
support staff. You will be responsible for developing and executing
plans for full-cycle hiring, building recruitment strategy and
managing the hiring process for all campus & network team positions
to ensure that our organization has the talent MSS requires to meet
our student growth, achievement, and life success goals. You will
also serve as a strategic thought partner to school and regional
leaders on organizational health, employee engagement, retention,
staffing, and other talent needs. ResponsibilitiesTalent Strategy
and Planning (30%)
- Develop and manage plans for full-cycle recruiting, hiring, and
placement of talent, in alignment with MSS Network strategy
- Determine hiring projections and weekly benchmark goals to
manage hiring throughout the year
- Assess the status of current talent needs at the school-based
level to inform hiring and talent development goals
- Thoroughly understand the essential functions and challenges of
each role, and maintain updated, comprehensive job descriptions and
hiring materials
- Communicate progress to goals with senior network
leadership
- Partner with the network management team for school leader
selection
- Lead the Talent Team to ensure that 100% of campus staff
members are hired by the start of the first day of work
calendar/professional development, and 100% of 2023-24 school
leadership vacancies are filled with a "leader-ready" candidate by
July 15thEnsure compliance with company policy and local, state or
federal law, and including Affirmative Action Plan goals and
compliance-related reportingPartnerships and Outreach (30%)
- Develop and nurture the external partnerships necessary to
create a robust talent pool and meet recruitment goals
- Build interest in MSS through event planning, outreach
activities, and marketing campaigns in alignment with the Director,
Communications
- Embrace the challenge of navigating complex business

- Develop and expand knowledge of the local educational landscape
and top talentOperations (10%)
- Create sustainable and replicable hiring policies, processes,
and tools to facilitate the equitable, transparent, and efficient
hiring of qualified candidates
- Implement and manage the platforms and systems that are
necessary to effectively execute on hiring processes, including the
Applicant Tracking System, knowledge management platforms, or other
platforms as needed. Talent Leadership (30%)
- Supervise, and provide development and strategic support to a
talent recruiter and hiring managers to meet recruitment goals and
build and maintain talent pipelines
- Coach leaders, hiring managers, and recruiters on best
practices to improve the candidate experience and evaluate and
serve as an advocate for the candidate experience at every step of
the recruiting process
- Coach and develop school leaders to manage a strong hiring
process that enables them to efficiently and effectively hire the
right people to join their teams
- Engage in regular check-ins with principals to review hiring
progressConduct annual Hiring Manager Training, including training
hiring managers on the use of our applicant tracking system (ATS),
Lever HireThe strongest candidate will:

- Have experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, other search engines,
job sites, social networks effectively to support recruitment and
marketing
- Demonstrate excellent organization, planning, and
follow-through skills
- Be energized by professional and personal growth through
reflection, feedback, and collaboration
- Demonstrate proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Google Docs,
Google Sheets, etc.)Have experience with large-scale ATS or CRM
systems; experience with Lever Hire is a plusDesired Educational
Background and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
years of related experience
- 4+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, selection,
and hiring
- 2+ years of experience in a K-12 education setting highly
preferred
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who have had
experience in Talent Acquisition for a high-performing CMO
network(s)
- Must be willing to travel up to 15-20% (mainly SC travel)
- Must be willing to work some nights and weekendsNOTE: This
position is located in Charleston, SC, and is not a remote role.
Candidates will need to be local to the Charleston area, with
opportunities for remote work 1-2 days per week.The salary range
for the position is 80 - 100K. Our compensation is competitive and
