Community Life Services Manager As our Community Life Services
Manager at Bishop Gadsden, located on James Island, SC, you will
support the Vice President of Community Life Services and
Compliance through direct management of the following areas:
Resident Services, Spa, and Healthcare Activities. Additionally,
this position will provide services and assistance to the residents
of Bishop Gadsden that contributes to their satisfaction and
well-being. The successful candidate will have excellent
interpersonal, organizational and communication
skills.Responsibilities
- Acts as Community Life Services Manager in Healthcare
Building
- Effectively manage a large team to include preparing written
employee performance evaluations, maintaining accurate job
descriptions, initiating recommendations for salary increases,
promotions, disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Orchestrate, schedule, interview, hire, and train new employees
for further development of the CLS department pertaining to
Resident Services, Spa, and Healthcare Activities.
- Communicate with other department managers to create
efficiencies and procedures to aid in team member success and
retention.
- Oversee effective Resident Services programming to include new
resident move in process, and educate family members and marketing
team during resident transitions.
- Manage Guest Room reservations, billing and purchasing for the
two Guest Suites.
- Establish, maintain and coordinate with 3rd party vendors to
meet service needs of the Guest Suites.
- Monitor the resident database to ensure accuracy on information
pertaining to staff and resident changes.
- Ensure the Resident Handbook and Directory are accurate and
meet current requests of resident and team members.
- Ensure Resident Business Center has all supplies needed.
- Aid in education and troubleshooting with team members,
residents, and contracted vendors
- Oversee the administration of a well-rounded and active program
of events, activities, educational offerings, and outings in the
new healthcare building.
- Create standards, protocols and definitions of BG healthcare
activities to ensure regulations are met and activities are based
on current census.
- Oversee quality cosmetology services and products to the
residents and staff of the two Bishop Gadsden salons.
- Create, process, approve, edit and reconcile AP forms and
monitor budget compliance.
- Serve as the staff liaison for the Resident Mentor Program for
the Marketing department
- Serve as a resident liaison to the Resident Services Committee,
Library Committee, IT Committee, and Welcome Committee
- Attend meetings as necessaryQualifications
- Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are
necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a
courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and
Bishop Gadsden employees
- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate clearly and
effectively both verbally and written in English
- Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written
material
- Valid SC driver's license with no violations within three (3)
years
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds
/-)
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
Required Education and Experience
- College degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience
- 3-5 years' experience managing resources within senior
services
- Ability to direct daily activities with little or no
supervision
- Proficient with computer programs to include Microsoft Office
