Housekeeping Manager
As our Housekeeping Manager at Bishop Gadsden, located on James Island, SC, you will supervise and lead the housekeeping and floor tech team members in order to maintain a clean, sanitary and odor free environment for all who live and work in the Bishop Gadsden Community.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Supervise Housekeepers and Floor Techs
  
  Assign duties to housekeepers and floor techs in an effective and efficient manner.
  Ensure work assignment schedule is completed in an efficient, fair, and quality manner.
  Monitor and approve payroll and time off requests
  Perform employee performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  Fill open positions with the assistance of Human Resources.
  Train staff within the facility guidelines and community culture.

  • Ensure staff is compliant with departmental and community policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
    
  • Ensure all assignments are completed correctly within the Bishop Gadsden and supervisory guidelines through use of quality assurance program.
    
  • Communicate any work issues that may affect residents in advance through verbal or written means and accommodate as required.
    
  • Organize and maintain reports needed for efficient management of departmental duties, provide copies and recommendations to the Director of Environmental Services.
    
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock of frequently used items through use of PAR.
    
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff and with other operational departments.
    
  • Cultivate a culture of care and service throughout staff and community.
    
  • Maintain good inter-departmental and employee relations.
    
  • Observe safe facility practices at all times.
    
    --Qualifications
    
    • 
      
    • Ability to read, write, speak and communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written in English
      
    • Ability to interact with residents and their families as well as other staff with tact, courtesy and confidentiality
      
    • Must have a valid SC driver's license
      
    • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds /-)
      
    • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time

      • 
        
      • High School degree or equivalent required, come college preferred
        
      • Ability to supervise employees in an effective and efficient manner
        
      • Proficient with computer programs to include Microsoft Office
