Job Description:

We are seeking candidates for a Director of Pharmacy for a hospital located an hour from Charleston West Virginia.This Hospital is a 300-bed facility caring for nearly 13,000 patients each year with over 50,000 being treated in our emergency room. They offer a wide range of surgical services as well as specialty programs including Cardiac CTA, Digital Mammography, and Trauma Services.This location is an ideal place to live and boasts many scenic, cultural, and recreational opportunities. Maintains formularies, sources of information on new products, adequate compendia and an updated library of pharmaceutical literature.Assists in medication monitoring functions of the Medical Staff, as defined by its by-laws, JCAHO and Medicare conditions of participation.Establishes and maintains a system of record keeping, accountability and documentation with the current applicable local, state, and federal statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy.Reports to: Vice President/Chief Operating Officer
