Chief Financial Officer - Chemicals - Charleston, WV Charleston Permanent $290,000 - $300,000 per year

They are privately owned and have exclusively retained Tom Smith at Michael Page, to secure their next Chief Financial Officer.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a high caliber and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at a leading privately-owned chemical facility in Charleston, WV. Reporting directly into the CEO and with high exposure to the private ownership structure, you will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the company and will be responsible for leading a small finance team. Main duties and responsibilities include the following, and more details will be provided upon successful resume review:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to achieve business objectives
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support key business decisions
  • Work closely with banks on debt financing
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage the budgeting process and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with auditors, the communicty, regulators, and other external partners
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team and ensure their professional development
  • Assess and manage financial risks, including those related to currency fluctuations, interest rates, and commodity prices.
  • Ad hoc duties, as required.

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
    • 10 to 15+ years of experience in a finance or accounting leadership role, ideally in the chemicals/ industrials or related industries
