:
Wild Dunes Resort is seeking a Social Media Manager responsible for
planning and executing social media strategies to boost brand
awareness and drive engagement. This role requires a passion for
social media and guest experience. The ideal candidate will
appreciate how social media impacts the overall travel experience
and should be flexible, agile, and able to work collaboratively
with the entire team to ensure that the brand's communication
objectives and strategies are met.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications or Media Management, or a
related business field with a minimum of one year of demonstrated
work experience with social media success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and plan social media content aligned with Marketing
editorial calendar, for use on various platforms, including but not
limited to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and
Pinterest.
- Manage social media accounts by drafting copy, curating
images/video, scheduling, monitoring, and tracking traffic.
- Monitor social media platforms and provide weekly performance
updates and monthly/quarterly reports, tracking success and
identifying growth areas.
- Provide regular reporting for content performance and develop
strategies for content to ensure continued engagement and growth
across all social channels.
- Create engaging and data-driven content, including photography,
short-form video, live streams, and graphics that align with the
brand voice on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and
Pinterest.
- Manage in-house paid social media budget and work with the
Associate Marketing Director to establish an effective and
informative strategy.
- Establish relationships with followers and partner business
accounts. Listen to our audience and engage in conversation daily
through our Facebook and Instagram-owned channels.
- Collaborative strategy with the onsite Marketing team and
department leaders in key segment areas, including Food & Beverage,
Golf, Spa, Recreation, and more.
- Execute multiple projects in a deadline-oriented and fast-paced
environment.
- Attend property events, activities, etc., to capture
content.
- Serve as the departmental expert to stay ahead of new and
changing social media strategies, platform tools, and industry
trends.
- Work in a collaborative environment and incorporate critiques
and feedback.
- Work closely with the digital agency to optimize social media
performance & digital marketing campaigns.
Qualifications:
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience
- Excellent grammar and writing skills, and experience in social
media writing/demonstrated knowledge of best practices per
platform.
- Attention to detail & proofing skills are a must.
- Experience with content tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite,
Social Cloud, Sprout Social, and/or Meta Ads is preferred.
- A solid grasp of the role that social and digital media plays
in a brand's communication mix and the ability to educate others
about it effectively
- A solid understanding of online outreach and the ability to
develop appropriate social engagement strategies.
- Proven ability to work effectively and independently and within
a team.
- Highly creative with design experience. Ability to create an
engaging, refined digital experience using a mix of
mediums/formats.
- Exceptional organization & communication skills.
- Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously & meet
tight deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn & develop within the role.
- Knowledge of video and photography production.
- Experience with Bulk Email Platforms & Content Management
Systems is a plus.
- Hospitality and/or general marketing experience is a plus.
