Job summary: Accountable for supporting the Department of
Medicine's (DOM) daily communications, marketing and
fundraising/development activities by contributing to writing,
editing, and content development efforts for various communications
channels, including the DOM Blog and social media channels. This
position also assists with the DOM Development Office's
communications and stewardship strategies, including quarterly
newsletters, marketing materials and other communications pieces
related to stewardship and fundraising efforts.
Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 5: $33,494.00 - $47,734.00 -
$61,975.00 (min - mid - max)
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma
and four years relevant experience in business management, public
administration or Administrative services; or a bachelor's degree
and two years experience in business management, public
administration or Administrative services.
Preferred Experience & Additional Skills:
- High Proficiency in all aspects of MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of and experience with methods and techniques used in
producing publications, graphic design (InDesign, Illustrator), and
other types of multimedia products.
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques used in planning,
composing, editing and producing publications.
- Demonstrated creativity in the design of website, marketing,
public relations or educational programs and written communications
- Ability to gather, organize and present oral and written
information in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Knowledge of and experience with photography, web design and
web content management systems and editing.
- Proficiency in social media communications.
- Must have excellent writing and editing skills, including AP
Style, grammar and punctuation rules.
- Ability to effectively interact with staff across the
organization, alumni, donors, volunteers, board members.
- Advanced written, oral communication and presentation
- Ability to adjust work schedule according to the business
- Resourceful, highly organized, and able to prioritize.
