• Employee Stock PurchaseProgram (ESPP) In collaboration withthe patient, the patient s family, and other members of the health care team,the Medical Surgical Registered Nurse isresponsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinatinga treatment plan and achieving the goals of the nursing department. You serveas a key position of the interdependent team, and hold responsibility forachieving positive patient and departmental outcomes. What you will do in thisrole: 6th Floor Med Surg Unit
  • You will maintain overallaccountability/responsibility for assigned patients
  • You will manage efficient flowof patient care including screening, preparation for exam, providinggeneral nursing care and comfort, and arranging for admissions, testingand discharges
  • You will maintain and reviewpatients records including posting tests and examination results
  • You will administer medicationsin accordance with physician orders
  • You will instruct patients andfamilies regarding medications and treatment plans
  • You will respond to and referincoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed) Qualifications Requirements
    • Must be a graduate from anaccredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher isrequired
    • Must be licensed as aRegistered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an activeCompact/Multi-State RN license
    • A current American HeartAssociation (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) HealthCare Provider is required For more than 40 years TridentMedical Center has proudly served patients and families in Berkeley,Charleston and Dorchester Counties in beautiful South Carolina.
