Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is actively recruiting for
clinician-educator faculty members with expertise in lung
transplantation at the level of Assistant Professor or above.
We are seeking candidates with:

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care
Medicine
Academic orientation, enthusiasm for teaching, passion for outreach
and research

Inpatient and outpatient service clinical responsibilities
Expectation to supervise fellows, participate in teaching
assignments and mentor students, interns, residents and fellows
Very strong interdisciplinary specialty support

possibilities for collaboration university-wide
About MUSC's Lung Transplant Program
Strategically positioned for significant growth in the coming five
years with a collaborative and intellectually stimulating team
composed of 2 Faculty, 1 APP, 4 transplant nurse coordinators, a
full complement of ancillary health staff including transplant
pharmacy, social work, financial counseling, physical therapy,
respiratory therapy, and administrative support
Demonstrated excellence in the diagnosis, treatment, and
advancement of knowledge in all advanced lung diseases
Half of our listed patients are transplanted within 30 days, and
98% receive a transplant within the same year
Current 12-month transplant volume averages between 15 and 20, with
a goal to increase to 30-40 transplants per 12 months over the next
three years
MUSC is home to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Care Center,
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation pediatric and adult programs, Pulmonary
Hypertension Association Care Center, and the Susan Pearlstine
Sarcoidosis Center for Excellence
