  • Job Details: Seeking a Transplant Dietitian to join their team at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). MUSC is located in beautiful, historical Charleston, SC. It is an 850 bed teaching hospital, which has served as the only comprehensive solid organ transplant medical center in South Carolina for more than 25 years. The MUSC Health Transplant Center is nationally recognized as one of the best transplant centers for adults and children. This dietitian will be responsible for covering adult organ transplant including kidney, pancreas, and liver with cross-coverage in the areas of heart and lung transplant. This position will administer nutrition care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Other responsibilities include serving on transplant selection and quality committees and acting as a dietetic internship preceptor. Job Summary
    We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center in Charleston, SC.
    Key Responsibilities:
    * Maintain responsibility for comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments, intervention including nutrition support, education, and counseling of inpatient and outpatient populations per the Nutrition Care Process model
    * Provide education to patients, as well as staff and work well with physicians, nursing, occupational and speech therapists, and other ancillary staff
    * Provide coverage for other dietitians as needed, including rotation through the weekend, holiday, and on-call schedule
    * Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
    * Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
    * Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns
    * Strong time management and organizational skills are required to be successful in this position Qualifications:
    • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
    • Eligible for South Carolina licensure
    • One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred
    • Advanced practice or specialty certification (CSR, CDE, CNSC, etc.) is preferred
