Job DescriptionJob Description SummaryThe Medical University of
South Carolina Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program
is the only Immune Effector Cellular Therapy FACT (Foundation for
Accreditation of Cellular Therapy) accredited program, and the only
combined adult and pediatric FACT accredited program in that state
of South Carolina. In 2023, our program infused approximately 200
allogeneic, autologous, and cellular therapy products to blood
cancer patients across the state of South Carolina.
This position will move from Hollings Cancer Center to a dedicated
BMTCT outpatient infusion and clinic that is currently under
construction. The projected opening of the new BMTCT space will be
in Summer 2024 and is located in the Ashley River Tower, 1st Floor.
This new outpatient area will provide the BMTCT Infusion RN II the
ability to cross-train to BMTCT Clinic.EntityMedical University

DescriptionSchedule: 3- 12 hour shifts + weekend obligationsJob
Summary/Purpose: Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II
provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and
patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and
practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care
and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve
desired results.
Minimum Training and Education: Bachelor of Nursing degree
preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an
Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled
in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully
obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or
reclassification date. Refer to policy A141 for more details. A
minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
required.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a
registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a
compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a
certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for
Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American
Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare

lb. patient that can not assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of
force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required
from another healthcare worker. 20 lbs. of force is needed to push
a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is
required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability
to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.

at a distance. (Continuous) Ability to match or discriminate
between colors. (Continuous) Ability to determine
distance/relationship between objects; depth perception.
