Summary and Qualifications As the Computed Tomography (CT)
Technologist you will be responsible for the independent operation
of CT equipment, and for performing and communicating results of
diagnostic CT examinations under the direction of a Radiologist.
The CT Technologist is responsible for daily operations of the
department, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of
equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). As the Diagnostic
Radiologic Technologist you will perform radiological procedures
under the direction of a Radiologist. Other duties may be assigned
to meet the needs of the Imaging Services Department. What you will
do in this role: * You will operate diagnostic equipment, verify
images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies
for the procedure. * You will be responsible for ensuring that
proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of
high-quality CT scans. * You will perform CT exams on a variety of
different body parts in a timely manner. * You will complete
appropriate history forms and technologist exam sheet. * You will
start I.V.s and check labs as needed. What qualifications you will
need: * Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. * ARRT
Registered Radiographer or ARRT CT is required * South Carolina:
SCRQSA in Radiology and/or Computerized Tomography is required *
Basic Life Support - American Red Cross or American Heart
Association required * Experience preferred in CT and Diagnostic
Imaging to include clinical hours from a school of Radiologic
