About The Position We are seeking a skilled Rheumatologist for a 64-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in West Virginia, starting 08/04/2025. This opportunity requires coverage from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with Fridays off. The ideal candidate should be comfortable conducting outpatient rheumatology visits and performing minor procedures such as small joint injections. This position offers the chance to work in a hospital setting using Epic EHR, with a possibility for assignment extension. Job Details: Location: West Virginia Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 08/04/2025 LOA: 64 days Provider Type Needed: Physician (Rheumatologist) Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Fridays off) Responsibilities and Duties: • Conduct outpatient rheumatology consultations and follow-up visits • Perform minor procedures, including small joint injections • Diagnose and treat various rheumatological conditions • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed • Utilize Epic EHR for patient documentation and care management • Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures • Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain patient safety standards • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members • Stay updated on the latest rheumatological treatments and best practices Additional Information: • Must be licensed to practice medicine in West Virginia • Board certification in Rheumatology required • Experience in outpatient rheumatology settings preferred • Proficiency in performing small joint injections essential • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Commitment to providing patient-centered care • Potential for assignment extension based on performance and facility needs Apply now to learn more!
