Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Float MRI Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1 year MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification. Responsibilities - Provides MRI imaging services across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings - Floats to other buildings on campus as needed within scope of practice - Caseload varies between inpatient, ER, and outpatient cases - Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - No on-call required - Uses Siemens MRI equipment and Epic for charting - Works in a Magnet designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital with 865 beds - Floats to different MRI locations on campus based on operational needs - Teal top and black bottom scrubs are required - Epic EMR experience preferred - Required to complete up to 4 hours of pre-start modules - Night and weekend parking available for a one-time $20 fee - Potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June-November - All time off requests must be submitted with application; approvals depend on unit needs Requirements - Minimum of 1 year recent MRI technologist experience required - Current BLS certification required - Valid ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT credential required (license required if applicable) - Experience with Siemens MRI systems required - Pediatric and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred - First-time travelers are accepted - Must provide Social Security Number and Driver’s License for consideration - Must meet 60 mile radius rule; local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a local rate - Previous permanent or PRN staff must have a 1 year separation from hospital system Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622776.
