Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT
Technologist with ARRT certification and recent experience for a
weekday shift utilizing Cerner EMR. Responsibilities -
Hospital-based CT department with weekday shifts from 6:30 AM to
3:00 PM, Monday to Friday - Position may require floating to a
nearby sister hospital as needed - Adult and potentially geriatric
patient population - Use of Cerner EMR for charting is required -
Possible exposure to radiation, infectious agents, and blood-borne
pathogens as part of routine work environment - Produce CT images
under the supervision of radiologists following established
protocols - Assist with the education and supervision of student
Radiologic Technologists - Practice ALARA principles for radiation
safety and follow departmental safety policies - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills required for patient
interaction and teamwork - Holiday and weekend work may be required
based on department needs - No local candidates within a 50-mile
radius will be considered - Travelers may stay on assignment for up
to one year before a mandatory 30-60 day break - Background and
drug screening must be completed through a designated vendor with
strict adherence to document due dates Requirements - Active SC or
compact state license required if applicable - Current ARRT
registration in Radiologic Technology; CT credential preferred -
American Heart Association BLS required - High school diploma or
GED required; completion of accredited Allied Health or CT Program
and one year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred -
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequent standing, walking, and
movement of patients - Knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC
