meet facility needs Description: The position is for an Operating
Room Registered Nurse. The nurse will work 3 shifts of 12 hours
during the day. On-call shifts may be required, up to 4 call shifts
every 4 weeks. The nurse will be expected to cover one weekend
shift every 4 weeks. The facility is a level-1 academic trauma
center with 21 operating room suites. Surgical specialties include
Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The
nursing team is composed of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified
Surgical Technologists. Registered Nurses are trained to both scrub
and circulate surgical procedures. This is a busy and dynamic
nurse-driven department. The facility provides cutting-edge
technology. Surrounding patient age groups include adolescents,
adults, and geriatrics. Additional responsibilities may arise based
on the needs of the facility. All requests for time off must be
included prior to submission for consideration.
