Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour rotating shifts, primarily nights (2 months nights 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, 1 month days 7:00 AM-7:30 PM) • Up to 5 weekend shifts per schedule for nights (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), 4 weekend shifts per schedule for days (Saturday/Sunday) • Patient ratios vary from 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 in mixed ICU and stepdown unit • Float within scope to meet facility needs • Holiday requirement if contract falls during holiday period • 2 years of PICU experience required • ECMO and CRRT experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, PALS (American Heart Association only) • South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required • First time travelers accepted • 12-hour orientation provided • Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours) • Care for pediatric patients ages 0-18 with medical and surgical diagnoses • Provide intensive care for respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative patients, neurology/neurosurgery cases • Experience with ECMO/CRRT, ventilator management, arterial line management, and various pediatric critical care procedures • Use EPIC charting system • Hurricane season emergency response team assignment may be required (June-November) Facility: This Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital is a 820-bed teaching facility specializing in pediatric care.
