Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Job Title Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) – Neuroscience Location Charleston, SC Estimated Pay Package: Up to $ 1710.00 per week *The above pay package is an estimate, please contact our team to put together your personalized pay package, as a variety of factors can influence your total pay.* Duration 13 week Shift - 3x12-hour shifts - Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM - Holidays as needed - Weekend requirement: 4–5 weekend shifts in a 4-week period - No on-call requirements Key Responsibilities - Provide intermediate-level nursing care to neuroscience patients in a Progressive Care/Stepdown unit - Monitor and manage patients with neurological conditions, adjusting care based on acuity - Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor neurological status, and document patient care accurately - Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care - Float within scope to comparable units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements Required Qualifications - Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license - Minimum of 1 year of PCU or Stepdown nursing experience - Prior experience caring for intermediate-acuity patients - Ability to float within scope of practice as needed Current Certifications - BLS (American Heart Association only) - ACLS (American Heart Association only) - NIHSS (American Heart Association only) Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a Neuroscience PCU or Stepdown unit - Strong neurological assessment and critical thinking skills - Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system Distance Requirement - Local candidates accepted - Local radius: 60 miles (locals accepted on a case-by-case basis) HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31621003.
