Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor patient health and progress while interpreting patient information and making critical decisions about needed actions. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician. Manage ventilation and other critical care apparatus and intervene in emergent situations to ensure patient safety and effective care. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Educate patients and families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens. Critical thinking and problem solving in high-pressure environments. Strong communication skills for explaining complex issues to patients and families. Capability to perform various diagnostic tests. Proficiency in managing intensive care equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
