working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Charleston,
South Carolina, 29425! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:

South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Open to first-timers
- Required weekend availability: Every other weekend and holiday
rotation - Required to float within scope to meet facility needs
Description: Position/Specialty: PCU RN The nurse will work three
12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. On night shifts, the
staffing ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 depending on the patient needs. The
unit cares for pre- and post-operative transplant patients,
nephrology, and urology patients. There are specialized monitoring
systems in place for patients who require close observation. The
unit consists of 22 beds, including five step-down beds equipped
with bedside monitors for transplant patients. The predominant
patient population includes those undergoing kidney, liver, and
kidney/pancreas transplant procedures. All nurses will be required
to become ACLS certified and proficient in peritoneal dialysis in
the first six months of hire. The patient population also includes
a range of medical-surgical cases. Ongoing education related to
transplant-specific care is encouraged. Nurses are encouraged to
obtain specialty certification in areas including transplant and
wound care. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season,
all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.
Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak
