Elite Home Care, Day Centers & Transportation is looking for a compassionate and energetic Member Assistant to join our team in Charleston, SC! If you have a passion for working with the elderly and young adults with various cognitive and/or physical disabilities in a supportive and engaging environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Competitive hourly pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits (available after 30 days) Paid time off Friendly and inclusive work environment Key Responsibilities: Assist the Activity Director in implementing engaging activities, including arts, crafts, exercise, spiritual, music, games, & life skills Provide hands-on personal care (ADL assistance) to members when needed, including feeding, toileting, ambulation and transfers Foster a positive and interactive environment by engaging with members and their families Set up and clean activity areas to ensure a safe and organized space. Assist members with activities and encourage participation Redirect behaviors as needed to promote a supportive atmosphere, promote member independence in a positive manner Monitor and document any changes in client behavior or health, reporting to the RN Administrator. Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with young adult disabled individuals Must be dependable with reliable transportation and/or a valid driver’s license CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with outgoing personality Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Clean background check and drug test Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks (toileting, ambulation, feeding, etc) Apply Today!
