Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity level • Required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotation • May float to NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Stepdown units as needed • Guaranteed hours with potential for one shift cancellation per 2-week period • 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required • Cardiovascular and pediatric experience required • VAD experience highly preferred • Required certifications: PALS, BLS (American Heart Association only) • Preferred certification: ACLS (American Heart Association only) • South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required • First-time travelers accepted • 12-hour orientation provided • Care for patients with congenital heart disease, cardiac surgery, heart transplants, and cardiac catheterization • Work with specialized equipment including ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, Impella, and VADs • VAD training required upon arrival to unit • Epic charting system experience preferred • RTO must be provided at time of submission and cannot exceed 7 days for auto offers • Unit does not accept travel pairs Facility: This healthcare organization operates a Gold Beacon Award-winning 29-bed Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit that serves as the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina.
