Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds CVICU RN in Charleston, South
Carolina, 29425! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

Description: The Registered Nurse will work three 12-hour shifts
from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:1 or
1:2 based on acuity. Four weekend shifts are required in a
four-week schedule with holiday rotation. The unit provides care
for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care
needs. Common procedures include cardiac surgery, Ventricular
Assist Devices, heart transplantation, and cardiac catheterization.
The unit supports various complex therapies, including ECMO and
CRRT. Pediatric palliative care is available as needed. The
staffing mix consists of Registered Nurses, Patient Care
Technicians, and support staff. All beds in the unit are monitored.
The unit is recognized for excellence in patient outcomes. The
average daily census is 26, with a blend of surgical and medical
diagnoses. Patients range from neonates to adolescents, addressing
all pediatric cardiac congenital conditions. Special equipment used
includes ECMO, CRRT, Berlin Hearts, HeartMate3, and Impella.
Training for VAD is required upon arrival to the unit. The nurse
will work in a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility. The
dedicated team includes interdisciplinary support from various
therapeutic services. The nurse must follow specific guidelines for
time off requests. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response
