This pivotal role supports high-quality, patient-centered care coordination, ensuring optimal delivery of healthcare services. The ideal candidate leverages deep clinical expertise with exceptional leadership skills to oversee daily operations of the SICU, driving our mission to improve human life. Oversee the unit's daily operations, including staff scheduling and patient flow. Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs in the SICU. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Mentor and train new staff, promoting ongoing education and professional development. Implement and review healthcare policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Manage patient documentation and records with accuracy. Participate in multidisciplinary teams to streamline patient care. Strong clinical skills in a surgical intensive care unit Leadership and team management Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle high-stress situations Decision-making and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in medical software and record-keeping Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
