CT Tech Location: Charleston, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,271 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: - Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Weekends Friday-Sunday Hours per Shift: 10:00 am - 10:30 pm Experience: One year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred License: Registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: ARRT registered in CT preferred; Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card Must-Have: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to perform and teach CT exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images Description: CT Technologists will produce computerized tomography scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered or directed by the physician. They will assist in the interpretation and diagnosis of patient disease or injury. Technologists will assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. They will ensure the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures, utilizing age-appropriate care. Following established protocols and direction from Radiologists, they will perform procedures for accurate results. Technologists are responsible for obtaining correct written orders for procedures and efficiently managing time for patient care assignments. They will assist in the clinical education of student technologists. Efficient utilization of imaging equipment is essential, with attention to minimizing repeat examinations. Proper management of supplies, with an emphasis on cost containment, is expected. CT Technologists will instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist in obtaining informed consent when necessary. They will ensure patients understand the procedures and effectively communicate with family members regarding discharge instructions. Maintaining accurate records by entering correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history into the computer system is critical. Effective verbal and written communication with Radiologists regarding procedures is necessary. Technologists must adhere to departmental and safety policies and procedures while practicing good radiation protection. Completing required annual in-services and maintaining current licensure requirements is a must. Promoting the mission and values of the healthcare organization is essential. Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/moving patients are required. Technologists may encounter exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential infectious materials. Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while supporting teamwork and departmental operations is crucial.
