Job Description Summary The Float Team serves adult and
pediatric populations across 10 specialized zones. This RN position
on the Float Team offers flexible scheduling, float differential
pay, and an optional $15,000 sign-on bonus for full-time external
candidates with two or more years of pediatric acute care
experience (two-year service agreement required). In this role,
you’ll deliver high-quality, compassionate care across specialized
pediatric units including Pediatric Acute Care, Oncology, Cardiac
Intermediate, and the NICU, caring for up to Level 2 patients. You
may also support intermediate-level care in the Pediatric ICUs at
Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital as needed. Entity Medical

Summary/Purpose : Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse
II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families
and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and
practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care
and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve
desired results. Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from an
accredited school of nursing and a minimum of one year of pediatric
acute care work experience as a registered nurse is required.
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after
July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are
required to initiate education for BSN within 2 years and complete
within four years of hire date. Employees are required to sign an
agreement regarding the education requirement. Required Licensure,
Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by
the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or
AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for
Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Some positions
require certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Additional

a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet. 25 lbs. of force is
required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand. Ability
to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes.
