Job Summary
Provides prompt, courteous and professional food and beverage
service to guests in the Forbes Four Star Peninsula Restaurant that
exceeds guests' expectations. Meets company, Forbes and brand
standards regarding restaurant bookings and other administrative
responsibilities.
Job Duties
-Possess full and accurate information about all F&B outlets,
promotions and special events
-Provide customers with any required information related to all
F&B outlets, promotions and special events
-Handle all F&B inquiries coming through phone and e-mails
-Advice and recommend food & beverage choices to customers while
making offers
-Handle pre-payment for F&B reservations and special events
bookings if needed
-Create reservations in the restaurant reservations system and
clearly indicate all notes and preferences of the customer. Proceed
with table allocation if needed
-Confirm and reconfirm bookings for all F&B outlets before
outlets are open
-Responsible for control over the number of reservations taken for
a day for any outlet
-Announce overbook of any outlet when necessary and stop bookings
before the Outlet Manager is on duty
Education and Experience
-Prior food service experience with general knowledge of restaurant
operations, preferably in a four or five star restaurant or
hotel
-Micros experience helpful
Skills & Abilities
-Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple tables at one time
-Excellent verbal communication skills
-Excellent organizational and time management skills with the
ability to work well under pressure
-Basic math skills for cash handling
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including mornings,
weekends and holidays at times.
Physical Requirements
-Ability to stand and walk during entire shift, talk, hear, reach,
bend grasp and perform repetitive motions
-Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move items up to
40lbs
