SUMMARY: The Customer Service Specialist I assists participants with status inquiries regarding agency applications. S/he assists with documenting complaints and recommendations and compiling reports.

  • Receives high volume of phone calls from participants and researches status of inquiry for the entire agency.
  • Receives complaints and informs participants of hearing procedures.
  • Receives application verification documents and enters them into file electronically.
  • Assist with screening and scheduling.
  • Maintain a clean orderly environment at the front desk and stock intake forms, brochures and education materials.
  • Refers participants to community resources and other organizations for services not rendered by Palmetto CAP
  • Assists all agency directors and their customer base.
  • Assists Outreach Directors and Admin Assistant in administrative duties as assigned.
  • All other assigned duties. Qualifications

    Education and Experience:
    • Associate's degree required.
    • Some data entry experienced required.
    • Experience working in human service or customer service for twelve months or more, preferably in a non-profit environment.
