Housekeeper (Full Time Opportunity)No Experience Necessary!Our Housekeeping team members maintain a clean and inviting environment throughout our community, completing general and detailed housekeeping functions. The successful candidate will be willing to work in a service-oriented, fast-paced environment. Bishop Gadsden located on James Island, is a not-for-profit, faith-based retirement community located just 10 minutes from downtown Charleston! Compensation is based on experience, up to $17.00 / hr. plus bonus opportunities! Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, common areas and offices following Bishop Gadsden cleaning standards
• Sweep/vacuum all assigned areas, mop hard floors, clean all room furnishings including fixtures, ledges, windows, blinds, mirrors, walls and ceilings
• Prepare and organize supplies and equipment as needed from supply area and load onto cleaning cart
• Follow safety policies and procedures and maintain safe work habits at all times
• Participate in educational and departmental opportunities as well as in staff functions
• Perform all responsibilities with adherence to Resident's Rights and HIPAAQualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Pleasant interaction skills are necessary for exchanging information as well as maintaining a courteous relationship with the residents, families, visitors and employees
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, squat, climb, reach above head, carry, and lift (up to 50 lbs.)Required Education and Experience
