Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Charleston, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Operating Room position with day shift options and a SC or compact RN license required. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a 9-OR ambulatory surgical operating room - Day shifts available as 3x12s (6:30a-7p) or 4x10s (6:30a-5p) - No weekend or on-call requirements - Floating within perioperative areas may be required - May be scheduled for one late shift per four weeks to complete cases - Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is preferred - Precepting other care team members in the operating room may be required - Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season (June-November) - Standard perioperative RN responsibilities in an ambulatory setting - Previous perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler - Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are considered at a reduced rate - All requested time off must be disclosed at submission; approval is based on facility needs - Non-billable modules must be completed pre-start /n /n Requirements/n - Active SC or compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start - AHA BLS certification required - Minimum 2 years of operating room RN experience required - Experience with Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, or Surgical Oncology is preferred - Radiation badge required and must be provided - Social Security Number and driver’s license required for consideration - Experience with Epic EMR is preferred - First-time travelers will not be considered /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-661325.
