Talent Acquisition Recruiter

As a Talent Acquisition Recruiter, you will be responsible for candidate sourcing, phone screening, assessment, interviewing, and managing the offer and hiring processes. In addition, you will act as a brand ambassador to build relationships within professional associations, on/offline communities, and educational institutions to produce an ongoing pool of pre-qualified candidates. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Dobbs Equipment is the authorized full-service John Deere and Wirtgen Group equipment dealership in the Southeast. They work to service the needs of customers in the residential, commercial construction, site development, road building, underground, and aggregate and mining industries. What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience is required
  • Large industrial manufacturing/distribution/multi-site organization experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS, intranet and internet
  • A combination of direct hire search experience with a third-party recruiter and corporate recruiting experience (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and prioritizing stakeholder requests
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgment sufficient to handle sensitive employment issues
  • Must be able to work flexible hours when required
  • Fluency in oral & written English required, Multi-lingual ability (oral & written) is preferred in Spanish
  • Willingness to travel 20% within area of responsibility
    What You'll Do As A Talent Acquisition Recruiter:
    • Develop and/or maintain Technician recruitment program through fostering relationships with local high school and community colleges through tuition reimbursement or other programs
    • Partner with HR Generalist and Hiring Leaders to develop recruitment strategies, understand position requirements, set expectations, and maintain communications throughout the talent acquisition process
    • Strategic Account Management with key client groups; to include development of talent acquisition strategy using metrics and business objectives identified through partnerships with community and technical trade schools
    • Develop position profiles and postings that are thorough and attractive to potential candidates
    • Review and screen resumes obtained from all sources and manage all applicant tracking and status updates in the HRIS
    • Conduct phone screens, provide candidate assessments, and recommend viable candidates to hiring manager for further consideration
    • Source candidates through job postings, referrals, and direct sourcing using proactive tactics (social media, job fairs, networking, and niche resources, etc.)
    • Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline of targeted passive candidates with specific industry and/or functional expertise
    • Conduct in-person interviewing, lead / facilitate candidate interview feedback sessions; provide follow up on interview as necessary
    • Partner closely with HR Generalist/HR personnel to manage the selection and offer process including offer formulation, recommendation, and approval process; extension of verbal offer; offer acceptance and new hire start process
    • Manage all candidate communications and information to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the Talent Acquisition process
    • Continuously improve centralized Talent Acquisition process to meet the needs of the business; maintain and support regular candidate activity and status reports
    • Coach and mentor Hiring Managers on talent acquisition processes and system compliance
    • Ensure compliance with company EEO, affirmative action plans and federal and state regulations
    • Assist in workforce planning and forecasting talent in alignment with succession and performance plans
    • Lead key Human Resources projects as assigned
