seeking an experienced Lead Software Architect with a background in
developing real time software in an Agile environment to join the
Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities (ESPC) team
located in Hazelwood, MO.The successful candidate will lead the
effort to design and build the next generation of mission computing
infrastructure. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing
Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization and will
require an on-site presence.These systems must meet the highest
levels of safety standards, levels of rigor and design assurances
required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department
of Defense (DOD) and National Security Agency (NSA) certification
authorities as they are deployed on latest Commercial
aircraft,Defense platforms and weapons systems, including
un-piloted and autonomous vehicles of the future.The ideal
candidate for this role is experienced at low level infrastructure
for safety and security critical application, using rigorous design
practices, efficient and automated processes and tools, to delivery
on-time, high quality, safety assured and cyber assured
software.Position Responsibilities:
- Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex
architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for
software systems
- Leads development of code and integration of complex software
components into a fully functional software system
- Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test
environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test
results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads
software supplier management activities
- Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of
processes, tools and metrics
- Leads software research and development projects
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains,
system-specific issues, processes and regulations
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to
ensure product and process conformance to project plans and
industry standards
- Work closely with management and technical leads to deliver
first time quality products
- Lead estimating efforts for future development work
- Develop and refine team processes and systems to continuously
improve

- Works under consultative directionThis position is hybrid. This
means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some
work onsite at one of the listed location options.-- This is at the

future.Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This
position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret U.S. Security
Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.--

(Post-Start).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or
other technical degree
- 15+ years of experience in software architecture and design of
embedded software systems
- 10+ years of experience with software requirements, design,
development, integration, and testing
- 10+ years of experience with C/C++ (C++ Preferred)
- 10+ years of experience working with Real-Time Operating
Systems (RTOS) (Wind River Systems VxWorks, DDC-I Deos or Green
Hills Software Integrity) and Linux operating system, in an
embedded systems environment
- Experience with configuration management and collaboration
tools such as (or similar to) Git, VersionOne, and Beyond Compare
(Git preferred)
- Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Agile Scrum
methodologyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 10+ years of experience in the development of avionics and/or
training software
- 10+ years of experience in Network Programming
- 10+ years of experience leading or mentoring people in a
technical environment
- 10+ years of experience working on responses to requests for
proposal (RFP) and contract support
- Linux and Windows application development experience
- Familiarity with simulation standards such as Distributed
Interactive Simulation (DIS), Distributed Mission Operations (DMO)
and High-Level Architecture (HLA)Typical
Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced technical education from an accredited course of
study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related
work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education
and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience,
Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standardTravel: Occasional travel may be required but
would be less than 10%.Relocation:This position offers relocation
