REPORTS TO Group Legal Director, with dotted line to CEO
Americas WHO WE ARE - Le Creuset is a global company leader in the

network of selected independent resellers. WHO YOU ARE - -As our
Legal Counsel, you oversee all legal aspects of Le Creuset
operations worldwide to provide direction and support of our high
growth business. You are responsible for ensuring Le Creuset has a
business environment that is compliant to minimize liability and
risks. You will engage with various business units on a broad range
of issues, which may include Information Technology laws, Consumer
Protection laws, Privacy laws, Commercial laws, Employment laws,
Corporate laws, and Intellectual Property laws. In this role, you
will serve as the main point of contact for all legal matters while
also functioning to guide and develop internal legal and compliance
processes procedure, and strategy. This position will be based in
Charleston, SC, and will report to the Global Legal Director. -
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
- Legal support in the areas of law where Le Creuset is active,
more concretely (but not limited to): Information Technology laws,
Consumer Protection laws, Privacy laws, Commercial laws, Employment
laws, Corporate laws, and Intellectual Property laws.
- Legal support in drafting and reviewing international contracts
in different areas such as (but not limited to): Real Estate,
Intellectual Property related, Commercial, Information Technology,
etc.
- Liaising with relevant business departments both at
headquarters level and with the subsidiaries worldwide.
- Liaising with external counsel. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Legal
position will focus mainly on Intellectual property, commercial
(specially on distribution agreements and anti-trust laws),
corporate and privacy laws.Required:
- Degree in Law plus a minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience in a
qualified international law firm.
- Experience as in-house lawyer will also be valuable.
- Experience in the North America Region (US and Canada) and any
other regions also a plus.
- Attention to detail, impeccable organizational, planning and
project skills is a MUST in this role.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and inclusive work
environment, while also being capable of working independently and
taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
Any additional language would be considered as a strong asset.
- Hands/on and pragmatic, with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work on different matters simultaneously, assertive
and deadline driven.
- Good listener and easily approachable, appreciative of cultural
differences and able to communicate effectively with all levels
