Location: Charleston, SCDescription: The Judge Group is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with an active secret clearance to support a large DoD organization. For immediate consideration, please email your resume to rkissinger@judge.com.- Robbie KissingerAs a member of this team, a Systems Engineer gathers information on functional requirements and reported problems, then designs, develops and test solutions to fulfill them. The successful candidate will have solid understanding, appropriate certification and hands-on experience with virtualization technologies in an enterprise-level Windows environment. Additionally, because the work is performed by a large and distributed team, the candidate must have proven experience working both independently and within dynamic teams.Roles and Responsibilities:* Design, develop and sustain virtualization solutions* Conduct unit, integration and system testing* Provide application support by assisting with releases* Troubleshoot problems escalated from the service desk* Explore new virtualization and remote access technologies* Assist with virtualization solutions enhancement, sustainment and support projects* Participate in customer-facing projects as part of a delivery teamRequired Experience:The candidate must meet all the following requirements:Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following specific disciplines: Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer ScienceHave a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Microsoft Server Operating Systems or Linux operating systemsHave at least one (1) year of technical experience in support of VMware and Citrix projects.Have experience with Systems/Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation support of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) requirementsHave or be working toward one of the following certifications within a year and a half after assuming duties:Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) or Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), or:With COR approval, have or complete a vendor/platform specific certification:Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V), Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Other (with advanced approval)Must have an active DOD Secret (or above) security clearanceAdditionally, the successful candidate will have the following qualifications:* Be organized and detail-oriented* Exhibit strong verbal communication skills* Portray a demeanor to interact with all levels of an organization and with external customers in a professional, diplomatic and tactful mannerContact: rkissinger@judge.comThis job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
