Assist and learn from a Licensed Service TechnicianAndy's Sprinklers is seeking an energetic, motivated and positive person to fill our available Service Technician Assistant position. We are looking for someone who is interested in pursuing a career as Service Technician in the future. If you love learning and customer service, and have a strong work ethic, this is the position for you!Essential FunctionsDig and backfill trenches, clean and grade area for re-sodding.Cut and remove existing sod from areas that are to be trenched and re-install the sod in trenches that have been backfilled.Install funny pipe and funny pipe connections.Install rotors and pop up heads, level with grade.Cut PVC piping and apply primer and glue.Make alterations using appropriate PVC fittings.Assist irrigation technician or crew leader in making repairs and alterations.Assist technician or crew leader in all aspects of day to day assignments..

Requirements:
Work EnvironmentAssistant Service Technician spend most of their working hours outside in the open air in all temperatures and conditionsPhysical DemandsStand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently move supplies up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift weight consisting of 75 pounds. Working in various extreme weather conditions. . Long hours during peak season.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - until the project is completed.In addition, this position may be required to come into work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations.TravelTravel is primarily locally during the business dayPM21 PI132355974
