Job Summary: Reporting to the Executive Director of Enrollment
Management, MUSCs Registrar is responsible for all aspects of
student enrollment and ensuring the integrity of student academic
records. The Registrar oversees the Universitys compliance with
federal and state law in the management and confidentiality of
student records and serves as the Universitys FERPA compliance
officer. The Registrar supervises a team of 4-6 Records staff,
ensuring cross training, staff development, and accountability for
Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 7: $49,594.00 - $70,674.00 -
$91,755.00 (min - mid - max)
- 35% - Acts as the University custodian of student records and
oversees secure access to and archiving of such records. Oversees
the passing of applicant data to the student data system to ensure
a seamless transition; ensures the proper enrollment of all
students and the accurate recording and transcription of grades
earned in a timely manner. The Registrar oversees the Universitys
compliance with federal and state law in the management and
confidentiality of student records, serving as the Universitys

- 30% - Serves as the University's key resource on academic
policy and registration/records-keeping procedures. Is responsible
for the interpretation and application of academic policy and
procedures. Is responsible for the Academic Calendar of the

- 15% - Ensures that all programs of study have received
necessary approvals/re-approvals (if substantive changes are
proposed). Responsible for maintaining the Inventory of Academic
programs and all semester reporting of student enrollment,
completion, and course data to the South Carolina Commission on
Higher Education. - (Essential)
- 10% - Oversees Enrollment Management's involvement in
commencement ceremonies. Supervises the Associate Registrar in the
preparation of candidate information and planning and staging of
the ceremony. Is responsible to ensure that all degrees are
transcribed, awarded, and certified without error according to the
standards of the University. - (Essential)
- 10% - Manages Records Office staff, focusing on cross training,
staff development, and accountability for performance. Conducts
evaluation(s)/SuccessFactors properly and fairly (management and
supervisory employees) - (Essential)
Preferred Experience & Additional Skills:
A master's degree in a discipline related to the role, including
higher education administration, information systems, or
Increasing levels of responsibility in a role that requires
database management and compliance assurance.
Experience with coordinating US DOE audits, VA Compliance reviews
and state coordinating board audits.
Experience with supervising and developing staff.
Experience with and understanding of integrated information
systems, data structure, and the relationships among various
institutional data systems; experience with Entrinsik Informer
Experience with and a comprehensive understanding of Student
Information Systems, such as Ellucian Colleague or Banner, WorkDay,
or Jenzabar; experience with Colleague desirable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A master's degree
and three years experience in student services programs.
