We are committed to the highest standard of care and have made waves in the community with our customer service and want an energetic, pro-active employee that loves their job and shares our values to help children achieve a lifetime of great oral health and healthy habits!As our patient coordinator you will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative activities of the office. The patient coordinator performs essential clerical duties including answering telephones, insurance verifications, scheduling and changing appointments, data processing, and maintaining records and accounts in accordance with company and statewide compliance standards and patient privacy laws.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure office is scheduled to goal with confirmed patients achieving established patient show rate and/or patient consults and starts. Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments. Notify Ortho Team Leader if schedules are not filled for consults when making one-week reminder calls.
  • Keep patient appointments on schedule by promptly greeting patients as the come in, notifying the clinical staff of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Deliver quality service and compassionate care to patients and their families. Greet patients and their families when they enter, verify patient information, and keep them informed of any wait time.
  • Ensure patients leaving the office are informed about their upcoming appointment and information they may need to bring to their next appointment. Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person when possible.
  • At the direction of the Team Leader, ensure ortho patients are compliant with appointments, financial obligations, send the appropriate communication leading up to or including termination of treatment.
  • Working with the TC and/or Team Leader, collect payments, post accordingly in practice management system and communicate with Ortho Banc and email the Ortho biller about any payments made in office.
  • Answer incoming Ortho patient calls and voicemails and assist with needs or direct to another team member for assistance.
  • Help keep the clinical flow when the TC and Ortho Assistants are tied up, communicating when pans are due, help complete start paperwork, enter account information.
  • Ensure all patient charts are accurate (update patient records, verify insurance and service limits) before the patient's appointment with Ortho Treatment Coordinator (or Ortho Team Leader) and Doctors to provide the opportunity for same day care to patients. Maintain secure and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPPA privacy regulations.
  • Open & close dental office according to office procedures/protocol. Maintain a clean and tidy waiting area and front desk area that is inviting to patients.
  • Comfort ortho patients by anticipating their anxieties, answer questions, help patients in distress by responding to emergencies. Ensure parents who are waiting are kept informed of the progress of their appointment or child.Qualifications:
    • Bilingual preferred
    • Must have a friendly, positive demeanor when interacting with patients and team members.
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize tasks is required.
    • Must be dependable, have strong attention to detail, high integrity and ethical standards, and a passion for providing exceptional service to patients of all ages and their families.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, people skills and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong administrative and computer skills with the ability to learn new programs.
    • Ability to travel to our 2 locations in North CharlestonJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $22.00 per hour
