Working with employers nationwide, SMS helps their employees – and their family members – connect to specialty surgeons in their own communities who help them choose the appropriate settings for their procedures. Surgeons in the SMS alliance regularly use high-quality ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), which provides the opportunity for employees to receive outpatient surgical care at potentially significant cost savings.Surgical Management Solutions is backed by Surgical Care Affiliates, a division of United Health Group. The mission of Surgical Management Solutions is to empower consumers with the knowledge and education to understand their healthcare costs, coupled with seamless access and enhanced consumer experience when they need those services.Position Purpose: As a Client Success Specialist, you will gain invaluable experience across consumer, healthcare, and corporate Branding teams. You will support clients by delivering proper communication to their members when appropriate. You will deliver communication proposals as well as build strong relationships with our UHC and Optum partners to create a strategic communication plan for each client. You will have the opportunity to engage with teams cross-functionally to discover and then deliver your projects. This position will be part of Client Management and work directly with Marketing to support SMS clients.Job Description

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Client Management but supports the Client Success Executive with their book of business and is primarily responsible for the following:

  • Developing communication presentations each quarter for assigned clients
  • Conducting research on client specific needs
  • Owning relationships with our UHC/Optum communication partners
  • Maintaining efficient workflow in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Work with the Client Success Executive, Marketing and Communication Director, Marketing and Communication Specialist, Graphic Designer, and Copywriter
  • Deliver and work on multiple projects and timelines at onceQualifications

    • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel in particular)
    • Candidate should have completed at least a 4-year college degree
    • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present
    • Detail orientated and thorough
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities
    • Exceptional problem solving and organizational capabilities
    • High degree of flexibility and initiativeRelocation: SMS headquarters located in CHS; relocation not required.
